While the mat is self-inflating, you can use a low-pressure electric pump if desired, but take care not to over-inflate, as this can damage the internal foam structure.
An R-Value of 5.5 indicates high thermal resistance, meaning the mat is very effective at preventing cold from the ground from reaching you, making it suitable for cold-weather camping.
The best way to store the mat is unrolled in a dry, climate-controlled area with the valve open to preserve the integrity of the foam.
