Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: Before purchasing, it is essential to verify that the NGK LKR8AP (4471) spark plug is compatible with your vehicle's make, model, and year. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual or a reliable parts catalog for the correct spark plug specification.
Installation: Spark plug installation should be performed on a cool engine. Ensure the engine is off and has had sufficient time to cool down. Carefully remove the old spark plug using an appropriate spark plug socket wrench. Inspect the new spark plug for any visible damage. Thread the new spark plug in by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque using a torque wrench. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommended gap setting if adjustment is needed, although Laser Platinum plugs are often pre-gapped.
Care: Spark plugs are wear items and are not typically user-serviceable for cleaning or maintenance beyond replacement. Their performance degrades over time and mileage. Replace them according to your vehicle manufacturer's recommended service intervals.
