Product Information

Full details

The Sloomy Harrington Plush Divan Set is designed for those seeking a blend of classic style and modern comfort, ideal for guest rooms or primary bedrooms. Its key benefit lies in its stable platform-top construction and plush velvet fabric options, offering a durable and elegant foundation. A potential caveat is that the mattress is best suited for occasional use due to its open-coil spring system.

FAQs

What is the primary benefit of the platform-top construction?

The platform-top construction provides consistent, even support across the entire surface of the mattress, preventing sagging and promoting a more durable sleeping surface compared to traditional sprung bases.

Can I flip the mattress over?

No, this mattress is single-sided and designed to be rotated from head to toe, not flipped. Regular rotation is recommended to ensure even wear.

What are the dimensions of the headboard?

The headboard has a height of 26 inches and features vertical fluted panels with a central accent.

What type of fabric is available?

You can choose from Sloomy’s Plush Velvet, Naples, Coniston, or Dumfries fabrics, offering a range of textures and colors.

Is assembly required for the divan set?

Yes, basic assembly is required, primarily attaching the chrome gliders to the base and attaching the headboard. Instructions are provided.

What is the mattress comfort rating?

The mattress offers a medium comfort rating, providing a balance of support and pressure relief.

What is the guarantee period for this divan set?

The Sloomy Harrington Plush Divan Set comes with a 1-year manufacturer’s guarantee.

Does this model include drawers for storage?

No, this specific model, the 'No Drawers' version, does not include any built-in storage drawers in the divan base.

Troubleshooting

Bed base feels unstable or wobbly.

Ensure all gliders are securely attached to the base. Check that the divan base is on a level surface. If the headboard is attached, ensure the struts are firmly connected to both the headboard and the base.

Mattress feels uneven or uncomfortable.

Rotate the mattress from head to toe. Ensure the mattress is properly centered on the platform base. If the issue persists after rotation, it may be indicative of the mattress's suitability for your support needs.

Headboard is loose.

Check the screws connecting the headboard struts to the divan base and to the headboard itself. Tighten them as necessary. Ensure the headboard is positioned correctly against the wall or securely fixed.

Chrome gliders are scratching the floor.

Ensure the gliders are clean and free from grit. Check that the gliders are firmly attached and not damaged. If floors are particularly sensitive, consider placing a thin rug or mat under the gliders.

Cons

  • Mattress may not be ideal for those requiring very firm support or for daily intensive use.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Assemble the divan base by following the included instructions. Typically, this involves attaching the gliders to the base corners.
  2. Place the mattress onto the assembled divan base. Ensure it is centered for optimal comfort and support.
  3. Attach the headboard to the divan base using the provided screws and struts, or lean it against the wall if preferred.

Compatibility:

  • The divan set is designed to work with the included mattress. Using a different mattress may affect the overall support and warranty.
  • The headboard is designed to be compatible with this specific divan base. Ensure alignment of the strut holes.

Care:

  • Fabric: To clean the fabric, use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment. For spills, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or excessive moisture.
  • Mattress: As the mattress is single-sided, it is designed to be rotated (not flipped). Rotate the mattress end-to-end every 1-3 months to ensure even wear and maintain comfort.
  • Base: Wipe the chrome gliders with a dry cloth. Ensure they remain free of debris to protect floors.
