Full details

The HAY Deville Armchair is designed for those seeking stylish, durable, and comfortable outdoor seating that blends modern aesthetics with timeless inspiration. Its key benefit lies in its robust construction from recycled aluminum, making it weather-resistant and easy to maintain, while a potential caveat could be its specific design aesthetic which may not suit all outdoor decor styles. This armchair reimagines the classic bistro chair for contemporary use, featuring generous proportions, a softly curved frame, and integrated armrests, all constructed from at least 60% post-consumer recycled aluminum, ensuring rust resistance and lightness. It is also stackable for convenient storage.

Troubleshooting

Armchair wobbles or feels unstable.

Ensure all screws are tightened securely. Check that the furniture glides are evenly in place on the legs. If the wobble persists, inspect the legs for any damage or unevenness.

Surface finish appears dull or dirty.

Clean the armchair with a damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry completely. Avoid using abrasive cleaning materials.

Stacking is difficult or causes scratching.

Ensure the armchairs are clean and dry before stacking. Align the chairs carefully to prevent legs or edges from scratching surfaces. Check that the glides are intact.

Minor scratches or scuffs on the finish.

For minor imperfections, consult the manufacturer's guidelines for touch-up paint or repair kits specific to thermolacquered aluminum. Gentle buffing with a soft cloth may help.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The HAY Deville Armchair comes largely assembled, with an intelligent construction that uses screws for easy disassembly. Furniture glides are pre-attached to protect floors. No complex setup is typically required; simply remove from packaging and place in your desired location.

Compatibility: This armchair is designed for outdoor use and is compatible with a wide range of outdoor environments, including balconies, patios, terraces, gardens, and commercial spaces like cafes and restaurants. It pairs well with other elements from the Deville collection (tables, chairs) or can complement existing outdoor furniture.

Care: To maintain the appearance and longevity of your Deville Armchair, clean it regularly. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the frame and seat. For tougher grime, a mild soap and water solution can be used, followed by rinsing and drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the thermolacquered finish.
