Take the guesswork out of engine tuning! Whether you're a professional or home mechanic, the Colour Tune kit is so simple to use that anyone can use it. The basic principle behind Colour Tune is that certain fuel mixtures burn with a certain colour, telling you the richness of the air/fuel mixture. For example, a yellow flame indicates a rich mixture, while a blueish white flame indicates a weaker mixture. A Bunsen blue flame is usually spot on! The Colour tune kit is supplied with a clear spark plug, allowing you to look into the combustion chamber while the engine is firing, enabling you to check the colour of the flame. Colour Tune is supplied with comprehensive instructions, which includes an effective flame colour diagnosis section, so you can compare and adjust the fuel/air mixture to acquire the correct colour.
