These plugs are intended for solid masonry such as brick or concrete. They are not recommended for hollow plasterboard as they will not expand correctly.
Use multipurpose, general-purpose, or coach screws. Avoid machine screws.
Yes, always use a masonry drill bit that corresponds to the plug size to ensure the anti-rotation fins can engage properly.
These are permanent fixings. While you can back out the screw, the plastic plug is designed to remain in the wall.
This product comes in a tub containing 500 units.
The drill hole is likely too large or the masonry material is crumbly. Use a smaller drill bit or relocate the fixing to a more stable area.
Ensure the screw diameter is appropriate for the plug size. If it is too thick, the plug may over-expand and split the surrounding wall material.
For optimal results, ensure the hole is clear of dust and debris before insertion, as loose particles can weaken the bond. These plugs are strictly designed for threaded wood and multipurpose screws; do not attempt to use machine screws as the thread pitch will not properly engage with the plastic interior. Store the remaining plugs in the provided tub, keeping them away from extreme heat to prevent degradation of the plastic material. Always select a drill bit size that matches the manufacturer's recommendation for the specific plug diameter to ensure a snug, gap-free fit.
