FAQs

Can I fit standard Muji velour inserts into this drawer?

No, this specific 5-drawer unit is not compatible with the velour partitions sold for other Muji acrylic storage ranges.

What are the internal dimensions of the drawers?

Each drawer is approximately 23.7 cm in width, 15.7 cm in depth, and 2.5 cm in height.

Is this unit safe to stack with other Muji storage boxes?

Yes, it is designed to be stackable with other compatible Muji acrylic units of the same width and depth profile.

What is the best way to remove sticky residue from the exterior?

Use a small amount of warm soapy water. Avoid using solvents like acetone or nail polish remover, as they will melt the acrylic.

Can the drawers be completely removed from the frame?

Yes, you can pull the drawers out entirely for cleaning or to rearrange items on your workspace.

Troubleshooting

Drawer feels stiff when pulling out

Ensure the unit is sitting on a perfectly level surface; if the base is slightly warped, the drawers may bind.

Acrylic surface has become cloudy

Avoid using glass cleaners with ammonia. Use only water and a microfiber cloth to gently buff out light residue.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The unit is ready to use immediately out of the box. Simply place it on a level, dry surface. If stacking, ensure the base of the upper unit aligns correctly with the grooves of the lower unit.
Compatibility: Note that the specific internal drawer height (2.5 cm) makes this model incompatible with the velour drawer partitions typically sold for other Muji acrylic storage items. Ensure you measure your intended contents to fit the 23.7 cm x 15.7 cm base area.
Care: Clean the acrylic using a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive soap solution. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, alcohol, or scouring pads, as these can cloud or scratch the transparent surface.
