Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Turn off and unplug your hot tub pump.
- Locate and remove the old filter cartridge.
- Insert the new FilterLogic SFL50-5-13HS filter.
- Reassemble any covers or housings.
- Turn on and plug in your hot tub pump.
Compatibility:
While this is a versatile filter, it is essential to confirm compatibility with your specific spa or hot tub model. Check your hot tub's manual or the existing filter for model numbers and dimensions.
Care:
- Rotation: It is recommended to rotate filter sets every two weeks. This means having two sets of filters and switching them out periodically. While one set is in the spa, the other can be cleaned and dried.
- Cleaning: Rinse the filter under running water to remove debris. For deeper cleaning, use a dedicated spa filter cleaner and follow the product instructions. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinserting it, especially if rotating between sets.
- Replacement: Each filter is designed to last up to 6 months. Replace the filter when it shows signs of wear, damage, or persistent clogging.
