This connektgear 31-0005R Cat6 network cable is ideal for users needing a short, reliable connection for their home or office network devices. It offers dependable data transfer speeds suitable for everyday tasks, though its 0.5m length limits its use for longer runs. Key features include Cat6 compliance, U/UTP shielding, gold-plated RJ45 connectors, and a red, low-smoke zero-halogen (LSZH) jacket.

This Cat6 cable supports network speeds up to 10/100/1000Base-T(X), commonly known as Gigabit Ethernet.
While the cable itself might function over longer distances, its specified length is 0.5 meters. For reliable performance over longer runs (e.g., more than 328 feet or 100 meters), a cable specifically designed for that length should be used.
This cable is U/UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair), meaning it does not have an outer foil or braid shield. It relies on the twisted pairs to reduce interference.
LSZH stands for Low Smoke Zero Halogen. This jacket material is designed to emit minimal smoke and no toxic halogenated gases when exposed to fire, making it safer for use in enclosed or public spaces.
While this cable can technically pass power, the U/UTP (Unshielded) nature and 24AWG conductor size might not be optimized for all high-power Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications. It is primarily designed for data transmission.
Cat6 cables offer better performance than Cat5e cables, supporting higher frequencies (up to 250 MHz) and designed for faster data transmission speeds (Gigabit Ethernet) with less crosstalk, especially over longer distances within the 100-meter limit.
Verify both ends of the cable are securely plugged into their respective ports. Check that the cable is not physically damaged. Test with a different, known-working network cable to rule out the cable as the issue. Ensure network adapter settings on your device are correctly configured.
Confirm the cable is a Cat6 and connected to Cat6-compatible ports on both ends. Check for physical damage or tight bends in the cable. Ensure the connected network devices (router, switch) support the expected speeds. Test the connection speed with a different cable if possible.
Inspect the RJ45 connectors for damage or bent pins. Ensure the cable is not subjected to interference from nearby electrical devices or power cords. Try a different port on your router or switch.
