Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Rack Mounting: Install the UPS into a standard 19-inch rack using the included mounting hardware.
- Connections: Connect your equipment to the AC outlets on the back of the UPS. Utilize the outlets appropriately based on power draw requirements.
- Power Connection: Plug the UPS into a grounded AC power outlet.
- Software Installation: Install the APC PowerChute software (provided) to monitor the UPS and configure automatic shutdown for connected devices.
- SmartConnect Setup: Utilize the ethernet port to connect to the network to use SmartConnect. You must register the device on the APC website to access the monitoring features.
Compatibility: The APC Smart-UPS 2200VA is compatible with most servers, network devices, and other equipment that operate within its power capacity.
Care: Regularly inspect the UPS for any signs of damage. Test the battery backup function periodically by simulating a power outage. Replace the battery cartridge (RBC43) every 3-5 years, or as recommended by APC.
