The Roland XS-1HD is a versatile and compact Multi-Format Matrix Switcher with multi-screen output and video compositing capabilities. It supports up to Full HD resolution and features scalers on each input for fast setup, making it ideal for live events, exhibits, stage events, conferences, meeting rooms, and banquet halls. Its compact, 13” laptop-sized design allows for real-time operation in space-limited environments. The XS-1HD can switch video from up to four sources (cameras, computers, media players) and assign them to various displays. Built-in scalers adjust position and zoom for different input formats, and an EDID emulator ensures correct resolution from computers. Preset memories allow instant recall of configurations. In Matrix mode, it switches four video signals to four outputs, with faders and adjustable transition times. Switcher mode offers PinP, key-compositing, and dissolve transitions with a multi-view output. Split mode composites multiple videos onto a single screen, displaying up to three inset windows. The device features high-quality 4:4:4 10-bit processing, a built-in eight-channel digital audio mixer, USB memory port for backups and still image display, and RS-232 control for integration with third-party systems. It also includes HDMI input/output with EDID emulator and HDCP compliance for playing protected content, a test pattern generator, and cross-point buttons for intuitive input selection.
