FAQs
What is the primary benefit of the 'Easy Clean' feature?
The 'Easy Clean' feature allows you to easily wipe away limescale and mineral deposits from the shower head, preventing blockages and maintaining optimal water flow. This also helps to keep the handset hygienic.
Can this handset be used with high-pressure water systems?
While the handset is designed for excellent flow rates, it is generally recommended for low-to-medium pressure systems for optimal performance and longevity. It's always best to check your specific system's compatibility.
Does the product include the shower hose and wall bracket?
This product listing is for the rectangular shower handset only. The shower hose and wall bracket are typically sold separately. We recommend using standard 1/2" connection hoses.
How do I clean the chrome finish effectively?
Wipe regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks or limescale, use a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth, then rinse and dry thoroughly with a microfiber cloth.
Is this a multi-function shower handset?
No, this is a single-function handset, providing a straightforward and consistent spray pattern.
How can I ensure a consistent look in my bathroom?
You can achieve a consistent look by pairing this chrome handset with other chrome brassware from the Balterley range, such as shower valves, bath fillers, and basin mixers.
What is the warranty period for this shower handset?
Warranty information varies by retailer. Please refer to the point of purchase or the manufacturer's documentation for specific warranty details.
Troubleshooting
Low water flow
Check the shower head for limescale buildup and clean as per care instructions. Ensure the shower hose is not kinked and that the water pressure to the shower system is adequate.
Leaking from the connection
Ensure the shower hose is securely tightened to the handset. Check the rubber washer inside the hose connection for any damage and replace if necessary.
Chrome finish appears dull
Clean the handset with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Polish with a dry microfiber cloth for a restored shine.
Handset feels loose
Verify that the shower hose is firmly attached to the handset. If the issue persists, check the connection of the hose to the shower valve.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This shower handset is designed to connect to a standard shower hose. Ensure you have a compatible shower hose and a wall-mounted shower bracket. Screw the hose onto the handset connection point, ensuring a secure fit to prevent leaks. If replacing an existing handset, simply unscrew the old hose from the old handset and attach it to the new one.
Compatibility: The handset features a standard 1/2" connection, making it compatible with most shower hoses and shower systems available on the market. It is recommended to use with low-to-medium pressure systems to ensure optimal performance. For best results and a unified aesthetic, consider using it with other chrome brassware from the Balterley range.
Care: To maintain the pristine chrome finish and ensure the easy-clean function remains effective, regularly wipe the handset with a soft, damp cloth. For tougher limescale, use a mild, non-abrasive bathroom cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive pads or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish. Periodically check the shower hose connection for any signs of wear or leaks.
