FAQs

What type of wood is used for this shelf?

The shelf is handmade from high-quality solid pine sourced from sustainable sawmills across Europe.

Does the shelf come with mounting brackets?

No, mounting brackets are not included. You will need to select appropriate brackets based on your wall type and the intended load.

Will my shelf look exactly like the picture?

Due to the natural variations in solid wood, each shelf will have unique grain patterns and slight color differences, making your piece one-of-a-kind.

What is the weight capacity of the shelf?

The weight capacity depends heavily on the type of wall fixings and brackets used, as well as the wall structure itself. We recommend using robust fixings and consulting mounting guidelines.

Can this shelf be used outdoors?

No, this shelf is designed for indoor use only to maintain the integrity of the solid wood and its finish.

How should I maintain the Natural Oak finish?

Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. For rejuvenation, a specific wood polish can be used sparingly.

Troubleshooting

Shelf feels unstable after mounting.

Ensure you have used appropriate wall fixings for your wall type and that the brackets are securely attached to both the wall and the shelf.

Wood shows signs of cracking or warping.

This can be due to environmental changes. Ensure the shelf is not exposed to direct heat sources, excessive sunlight, or high humidity. Minor adjustments may occur naturally.

Cleaning leaves marks on the finish.

Use only a lightly damp, soft cloth for cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals or soaking the wood. For stubborn marks, consult wood care guidelines for your specific finish.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: Ensure you have the appropriate wall fixings for your wall type (e.g., plasterboard, brick). We recommend using sturdy brackets (not included) to support the shelf and following the manufacturer's instructions for mounting. Ensure the shelf is level before fully tightening fixings.

Compatibility: This shelf is designed for indoor use. It is compatible with standard wall mounting systems. Due to its solid wood nature, avoid placing it in areas with extreme temperature fluctuations or high humidity.

Care: Clean the shelf with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, as this can damage the wood finish. For deeper cleaning, a wood-specific cleaner can be used sparingly. Periodically check the mounting fixings to ensure continued stability.
