The OM System FD-1 Flash Diffuser is designed for compatible TG-series cameras, creating uniform and soft light for spectacular microscope and macro photography. It attaches to the front of the camera, channeling and diffusing the built-in flash to illuminate subjects evenly in a ring around the lens, ideal for close-up shots from 0.8 to 11.8 inches. The diffuser features a light intensity adjustment lever with high and low output settings, offering approximately a 1.4-stop difference for greater lighting control and enabling creative effects like darkening the background to make the subject stand out. It is particularly useful for capturing high-quality images with reduced noise in dimly lit conditions and expands the possibilities of microscope mode. The FD-1 can be mounted to the camera body with the optional Silicone Jacket CSCH-122.
