This RJ45 coupler can be used to join two CAT5/CAT6 (8P4C / RJ45) cables together, usually to extend them over a longer distance. The coupler is of the ‘straight’ variety, meaning if you use two CAT5 cables that are wired in the straight format, not crossover, they will remain in the straight format.
