These chlorine granules are a popular choice for ensuring pool and spa water is safe and bacteria-free. Apply regularly to maintain recommended free chlorine levels: 3-5 mg/l (ppm) for hot tubs or 1-3 mg/l (ppm) for swimming pools. These granules dissolve rapidly, are long-lasting, and have minimal impact on water pH. They are suitable for shock dosing small above-ground pools. Always maintain the pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. For spas, maintain free chlorine residuals between 3-5 mg/l (ppm), and for swimming pools, between 1-3 mg/l (ppm). For freshly filled spas, an initial shock dose of 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours is required. This product can be applied directly to pools or spas if the temperature exceeds 20°C. If the temperature is below 20°C or you are unsure, it is recommended to pre-dissolve the product in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 10g of product per 0.2 gallons (1ltr) of water, stirring well until fully dissolved. Add the solution to the spa or pool while the pumps are running. Repeat dose application if necessary to achieve the required levels. Periodically (e.g., weekly or after heavy spa use), it is recommended to shock dose your spa to eliminate excess contamination.
