Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Prepare the area by removing existing weeds and ensuring the soil is level.
- Cut the fabric to the required size, allowing for extra material at the edges for overlapping.
- Lay the fabric flat over the prepared area. Use garden pegs to secure it if necessary, especially in windy conditions.
- Cover the fabric with mulch, gravel, sand, or other desired material.
- Cut crosses or holes where you intend to plant flowers or vegetables.
- Ensure edges overlap generously (at least 10-15 cm) to prevent weeds from growing through the seams.
Compatibility:
This fabric is compatible with most soil types and can be used under a wide range of decorative and functional ground covers including mulch, gravel, wood chips, bark, sand, and paving materials.
Care:
To maintain its effectiveness and longevity, keep the fabric covered with your chosen top layer. Periodically check for any accumulated debris on top that might support weed growth and remove it.
