Product Information

Full details

The Lascal BuggyBoard Maxi is designed for parents with a newborn and an active toddler who needs a rest during long outings. It provides a secure, convenient ride-on platform that attaches directly to your existing pram, allowing older siblings to travel alongside without slowing you down. While it significantly improves mobility for families with two children, it does require a bit of practice to adjust your natural walking gait to avoid bumping the board with your feet.

FAQs

Is the BuggyBoard Maxi compatible with my specific stroller?

The BuggyBoard Maxi is designed to be universal and fits most prams. You can check the Lascal website or your pram manufacturer's guide to confirm compatibility if you have an unusually shaped frame.

What is the maximum weight capacity?

The board is tested and approved for children up to 20 kg (44 lbs).

Can I fold my stroller with the board attached?

Depending on the stroller model, you may need to disconnect the board to fold the stroller completely. The quick-release feature makes this process simple.

Does the board interfere with the stroller's brake?

In most cases, no. However, ensure the connectors are positioned so that they do not obstruct the brake pedal or cable system of your specific pram.

Is it safe to use on public transportation?

Yes, it is very convenient for public transport, though you should ensure the child is holding onto the pram handle or the board securely while the vehicle is in motion.

Do I need any tools to install it?

No, the BuggyBoard Maxi is designed for tool-free installation and adjustment.

Troubleshooting

The board feels loose or wobbly during use.

Check that the connectors are tightened firmly to the pram frame and that the release pins are fully engaged in the locked position.

I keep kicking the board while walking.

Adjust the length and width of the connection arms to position the board slightly further back from the handle, and try a slightly wider walking stance.

The board does not sit level.

Ensure that both attachment arms are set to the same height and width settings on the stroller frame.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Wide, stable standing surface for better child balance
Highly versatile design fits a wide range of stroller frames
Smooth ride quality due to the integrated suspension
Easy to remove and store when not needed
Enhanced safety features like reflectors and non-slip surface

Cons

May require a slight adjustment to your walking stride
Added weight on the rear of the stroller can affect handling
Can limit the amount of space available for the person pushing the pram

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the BuggyBoard Maxi is tool-free and typically takes only a few minutes. Use the provided connectors to secure the arms to your pram's rear frame. Once the base connectors are fitted, the board can be clicked into place or removed by simply pressing the release buttons.

To ensure longevity, periodically check the connector screws to ensure they remain tight. The platform can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals that may degrade the anti-slip material. When the board is not in use, use the integrated hook-and-strap system to lift and store the board against the back of the pram.
