Product Information

Full details

The FurDreams Dog Crate Cover (42 Inch) is designed for owners of large dogs seeking to create a more secure and tranquil environment for their pets within their crates. Its primary benefit is the creation of a calm, den-like space that can reduce anxiety and improve sleep. A potential caveat is that while it offers water resistance, it is not fully waterproof, and its effectiveness depends on the crate's internal dimensions matching the cover's precise fit. This cover is made from durable, breathable 600-D Oxford polyester with a PVC coating, featuring two roll-up doors, a mesh window for ventilation, and elastic toggles for a snug fit.

FAQs

What material is the FurDreams Dog Crate Cover made from?

The cover is made from durable 600-D Oxford polyester fabric with a PVC coating for water resistance and breathability.

Is this cover suitable for a crate smaller or larger than 42 inches?

This specific model is designed for 42-inch crates. FurDreams offers other sizes, so please check for the appropriate size for your crate.

Can I wash the crate cover in a washing machine?

Yes, the crate cover is machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent, then tumble dry on low or air dry.

How does the cover help calm my dog?

The blackout design and enclosed nature create a den-like environment, which can reduce anxiety and promote relaxation and peaceful sleep for dogs.

Is the material safe for dogs who might chew?

The material is non-toxic and durable, designed to withstand some chewing. However, it is not entirely chew-proof. For aggressive chewers, supervision is advised.

How is the ventilation maintained?

Ventilation is maintained through a breathable mesh window and two roll-up doors that allow for adjustable airflow.

Will this cover keep my dog completely dry in wet conditions?

The cover offers superior water resistance due to its PVC coating, but it is not fully waterproof. It can protect against light moisture but may not withstand heavy rain or prolonged exposure to wet conditions.

Troubleshooting

Cover does not fit snugly

Ensure the cover is oriented correctly and use all elastic toggles to secure it firmly to the crate frame. Double-check that your crate dimensions match the cover's specified size.

Mesh window seems restrictive

Ensure the mesh window is not obstructed and that the roll-up doors are properly secured if you wish to maximize airflow.

Fabric feels damp after cleaning

Tumble dry on a low setting or allow the cover to air dry completely. Ensure the cover is fully dry before placing it back on the crate.

Dog is chewing the cover

This cover is made of durable material but is not chew-proof. If your dog is a persistent chewer, supervise their use with the cover and consider alternative solutions if damage occurs.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: To set up the FurDreams Dog Crate Cover, simply place it over your 42-inch dog crate. Align the cover with the crate's dimensions. Secure the cover using the integrated elastic toggles that attach to the crate's frame, ensuring a snug fit. The roll-up doors can be secured open with their fasteners.

Compatibility: This cover is specifically designed for 42-inch large dog crates with dimensions of approximately 109 cm (L) x 74 cm (W) x 76 cm (H). While it aims for a universal fit for this size, slight variations in crate designs may occur. It is recommended to measure your crate to ensure optimal compatibility.
