A hardwearing and versatile product, Bitubond All Weather Roof Compound is suitable for waterproofing all common roofing surfaces, including mastic asphalt, roofing felt, corrugated iron, slates, lead, tin and more. Recommended where the threat of frost or rain precludes the use of an emulsion. This solvent-borne, bituminous compound has a high build consistency with fibrous filler, drying to a tough, black coating. It is ideal for heavy brush coating on roofs and resealing existing roofs made of mastic asphalt, roofing felt, corrugated iron, fibre/cement slates, lead, copper, and zinc. Ensure surfaces are sound, clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Prime with BITUMEN PRIMER if necessary. Stir well before use and apply with a brush or broom, with coats at right angles, at a maximum rate of 0.75 litres per m2. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly. Reinforce with glass or polyester membrane if needed. Apply only to dry surfaces; avoid trapping moisture in bitumen felt. For extended life, overcoat with Bond It SOLAR REFLECTIVE PAINT after at least 10 days.
