Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure success, plant your bulbs in autumn when the soil is cooling down but not frozen. Select a location that receives full sun throughout the day.
- Preparation: Choose a site with light, sandy soil that drains freely.
- Planting: Dig a hole approximately 10cm deep and space each bulb 10cm apart to allow room for root development.
- Placement: Place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing upward.
- Soil Management: Backfill with soil and avoid over-watering, especially during winter months, to prevent the bulbs from sitting in cold, wet conditions that lead to rot.
- Maintenance: Leave the foliage to die back naturally after flowering to allow the bulb to store energy for the following year.
