Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure walls are clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any old wallpaper, paint, or debris.
- Apply a suitable wallpaper primer to the wall for better adhesion and easier future removal.
- Measure and cut your wallpaper strips, allowing for pattern repeat and an overlap at the ceiling and skirting board.
- Apply wallpaper paste evenly to the back of the wallpaper or directly to the wall, following the paste manufacturer's instructions.
- Hang the first strip plumb (perfectly vertical) using a spirit level.
- Smooth out air bubbles and excess paste with a wallpaper brush or smoother, working from the center outwards.
- Match the pattern on subsequent strips carefully.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is suitable for most interior walls, including plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted surfaces (ensure paint is sound and not peeling).
Care:
To clean, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the pattern or texture. For stubborn marks, a mild soap solution may be used sparingly, followed by a rinse with a clean, damp cloth. Ensure the wallpaper dries thoroughly.
