Troubleshooting
Gas struts not lifting smoothly
Ensure the mattress is evenly distributed on the frame and that no items are obstructing the movement of the bed frame during lifting.
Bed frame feels unstable after assembly
Double-check that all bolts and screws are securely tightened, particularly in the main frame and headboard attachments. Refer back to the assembly instructions.
Storage lid does not close properly
Verify that the contents within the storage area are not preventing the lid from closing. Check for any misalignment in the frame or hinges.
Squeaking noises from the bed
Identify the source of the squeak and ensure all connections are tight. A small amount of lubricant can sometimes be applied to joints if necessary, but avoid direct application to fabric.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: The Kingham Ottoman Storage Bed requires self-assembly and arrives flat-packed. It is recommended to have two people for assembly due to the size of the components. Ensure you have adequate space for assembly and lay out all parts before starting. Follow the provided instruction manual carefully for a smooth assembly process.
Compatibility: This bed is designed for standard small double mattresses (120cm x 200cm). The sprung slats provide excellent support, making it compatible with most mattress types, including memory foam, hybrid, and traditional sprung mattresses. Ensure your mattress does not exceed the recommended weight limit specified in the assembly manual.
Care: To maintain the luxurious appearance of the velvet upholstery, regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment is recommended to remove dust and debris. For spills or stains, use a clean, damp cloth and blot the affected area gently. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric. The wooden feet can be wiped clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
