Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Determine the correct placement for the hinges on the door/gate and frame, ensuring they are aligned.
- Mark the screw hole locations.
- Pre-drill pilot holes if necessary, especially in harder wood.
- Secure the hinges using appropriate screws (not supplied) suitable for the material of your door/gate and frame.
- Attach the other half of the hinge to the corresponding surface, ensuring alignment.
Compatibility:
These hinges are compatible with wooden gates, shed doors, and garden furniture. Ensure the total weight of the item being hinged does not exceed the medium-duty capacity of the hinges. They are suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Care:
To maintain the longevity of the galvanized finish, periodically wipe the hinges with a clean, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the protective coating. In coastal or highly humid environments, occasional inspection for any signs of corrosion is recommended, though the galvanization provides significant protection.
