Product Information

Full details

The Toolty Pointing Finger Trowel is an essential hand tool for professional masons and DIY enthusiasts who require precision during grouting and brickwork finishing. Its primary benefit is the 6mm narrow blade profile, which provides unparalleled access to tight joints and recessed areas, though users should note that its specialized shape makes it less suitable for larger-scale spreading tasks compared to standard rectangular trowels.

FAQs

What is the primary material of the blade?

The blade is made from high-quality, durable stainless steel.

Does the cork handle soak up moisture?

No, the handle is made from a breathable, water-resistant cork material that does not absorb water.

Can I use this for wide grout lines?

This model has a 6mm width, so it is best suited for joints 6mm or wider; for significantly wider joints, you may need a wider trowel.

Is this tool suitable for heavy-duty bricklaying?

It is intended for pointing and finishing work, not for lifting or applying large volumes of mortar.

What should I do if the handle feels loose?

Check the reinforced welded joint for debris or damage; if the unit is defective, contact the manufacturer under your warranty terms.

Troubleshooting

Mortar sticking to the blade during use

Lightly dampen the blade with water before application to reduce adhesion.

Visible surface rust forming on the blade

Use a specialized stainless steel cleaner or a fine grade abrasive pad to remove surface oxidation and keep the blade polished.

Pros and Cons

Excellent access for narrow joint finishing
High-grade stainless steel ensures rust-free performance

Requires proper cleaning to maintain the stainless finish

Setup, Compatibility & Care

The Toolty Pointing Finger Trowel arrives ready for immediate use. No assembly or setup is required. To maintain the tool:

Clean immediately after use by wiping mortar off with a wet sponge before it sets.
Store in a dry place to prevent moisture accumulation on the metal components.
If mortar dries on the blade, gently scrub with a non-abrasive scourer to avoid scratching the stainless steel surface.
The tool is compatible with standard mortar mixes and grouting compounds used in masonry.
