The TIMCO Tradesman’s Scissors are engineered for professional tradespeople and serious DIY enthusiasts who require a reliable, high-performance cutting tool for workshop, HVAC, and general site use. Featuring hardened stainless-steel blades, these scissors deliver clean, precise cuts across a variety of materials; however, users should note that they are not designed for heavy-duty metal shearing or industrial-grade wire cutting.

While the ergonomic handles are designed for standard grip, they can be used by left-handed individuals, though the blade alignment is optimized for right-handed cutting action.
No. These scissors are designed for paper, card, plastic, and fabric. Cutting wire or metal will cause permanent damage to the stainless-steel edges.
The hardened steel can be maintained using a standard blade sharpener or a fine whetstone at the appropriate angle.
The ABS plastic is durable, but avoid exposure to harsh industrial solvents or high-heat sources, as this can degrade the material.
This is the overall length of the scissors, providing sufficient blade length for long, sweeping cuts.
Check the central pivot for trapped dust or debris. Apply a small drop of lightweight machine oil to the pivot screw to lubricate the joint.
Inspect the cutting edge for small nicks caused by cutting unintended hard materials. A fine sharpening stone may be used to smooth minor burrs.
Ensure the handle connection is free of debris. If the handle appears damaged, discontinue use for safety reasons.
These scissors arrive ready to use straight from the packaging. No assembly or initial sharpening is required. To maintain peak performance, wipe the blades with a dry, clean cloth after each use to remove dust or adhesive residue. If the scissors come into contact with moisture on a job site, dry them immediately to ensure the longevity of the stainless steel. Periodically check the central pivot point for debris that could interfere with the smooth action of the blades. Avoid using the tips of the scissors as a screwdriver or prying tool, as this can misalign the blades and reduce cutting accuracy.
