Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
These bolts require a standard Allen wrench (hex key) that matches the M5 size socket. Ensure the mating surface and threaded hole are clean and free of debris before insertion. Tighten the bolt firmly but avoid over-tightening, which could strip the threads or damage the components being joined.
Compatibility:
The M5X20mm bolts are designed to mate with M5 threaded nuts or M5 tapped holes. Verify that the material thickness and required clamping force are suitable for an M5 bolt. These bolts are generally compatible with a wide range of materials including metal, plastic, and wood, provided appropriate pre-drilled or tapped holes are used.
Care:
While A2 304 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals or saltwater environments can eventually cause surface discoloration or pitting. Clean the bolts and surrounding areas periodically with a damp cloth. For stubborn grime, a mild soap solution can be used. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.
