Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your walls are clean, dry, and free from dust or old wallpaper. Lightly sand any imperfections and prime if necessary.
- Measure the wall height and cut your wallpaper strips, allowing an extra few inches at the top and bottom for trimming.
- Apply wallpaper adhesive evenly to the wall surface where the first strip will be placed.
- Hang the first strip, ensuring it is perfectly vertical using a spirit level. Smooth out any air bubbles with a wallpaper brush or smoother.
- Continue applying subsequent strips, butting the edges together without overlapping.
- Trim excess wallpaper at the ceiling and skirting board using a sharp knife and a straight edge.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is suitable for most interior walls, including plaster, plasterboard, and previously painted surfaces (ensure paint is sound and non-flaking). It is not recommended for use in areas of high humidity like bathrooms unless specifically stated by the manufacturer, as prolonged moisture can affect adhesion.
Care:
- Gently wipe the surface with a damp cloth or sponge to remove light marks. Avoid harsh scrubbing or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the matte finish.
- For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution sparingly on a cloth, then wipe with a clean damp cloth.
- Ensure any cleaning is done gently to preserve the wallpaper's texture and appearance.
