Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Setting the Time: Gently pull out the crown (the small knob on the side of the case). Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise until the hour and minute hands indicate the correct time. Push the crown back in completely to start the watch.
- Setting the Date: For models with a magnified date display, pull the crown out to the first click (usually halfway). Rotate the crown to adjust the date. Be cautious not to set the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can damage the movement. Once the correct date is displayed, push the crown back in fully.
Compatibility
This GV2 Naples Collection watch, with its 34mm round case and two-tone bracelet, is designed to be a versatile accessory. Its classic yet dynamic styling makes it suitable for various outfits, from business attire to casual elegance or formal wear. The deployment buckle ensures a secure and comfortable fit on most wrist sizes.
Care Instructions
- Cleaning: To maintain its luster, regularly wipe the watch case, crystal, and bracelet with a soft, lint-free cloth. For a deeper clean, a slightly damp cloth can be used on the metal parts, avoiding direct contact with water for prolonged periods. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, which can damage the finishes or seals.
- Water Resistance: The watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). This means it can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water. It is not suitable for swimming, showering, bathing, or diving. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.
- Battery Replacement: As a Swiss Quartz movement watch, it relies on a battery. Battery life typically ranges from 2-5 years. When the watch stops, have the battery replaced by a qualified watchmaker to ensure the correct battery type is used and the water resistance seal is maintained.
- Protection: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight for extended periods, or strong magnetic fields, which can affect its accuracy. Store the watch in a safe place when not in use, preferably in its original box, to prevent scratches.
