Setup, Compatibility & Care
Using the Castor sharpener is straightforward: insert your standard-diameter graphite pencil into the opening and turn steadily. Because it is a manual, non-reservoir sharpener, operate it over a waste bin to collect shavings. To maintain performance, keep the internal blade area free of graphite dust by gently blowing into the aperture or using a soft brush. If you notice the sharpener beginning to tear the wood casing or produce inconsistent points, it is time to replace the blade. Keep the sharpener in a protective pouch when not in use to prevent the blade from dulling against other metal tools in your bag.
