Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Locate Wall Studs: Use a stud finder to locate wall studs. Mounting directly into studs is crucial for secure installation and weight-bearing capacity.
- Mark Mounting Points: Based on the shelf's mounting system (usually hidden brackets that attach to the wall and slide into the shelf), mark the precise locations for drilling on the wall.
- Install Brackets: Securely attach the mounting brackets to the wall studs using appropriate screws (ensure they are compatible with your wall type and the bracket's load capacity).
- Mount Shelf: Slide the floating shelf onto the installed brackets. Ensure it is level and firmly seated.
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for wall mounting. Ensure your wall type (e.g., drywall, plaster, brick) is suitable for the chosen mounting hardware. Always use hardware rated for the intended weight capacity.
Care:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- For cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and wipe dry immediately. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature or humidity fluctuations, as this can affect solid wood.
