Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This is a quartz watch, and the time is typically set by pulling out the crown to its first or second position (depending on the specific mechanism) and turning it to adjust the hour and minute hands. Ensure the crown is pushed back in fully to maintain water resistance.
Compatibility:
As a timepiece, its primary function is timekeeping. The watch is designed as a standalone accessory.
Care:
- Cleaning: Clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. For the ceramic and metal parts, a soft brush can be used to clean crevices. Use a specialized cloth for polishing.
- Water Resistance: While rated for 50m, this is generally considered splash and rain resistant. Avoid prolonged submersion, swimming, or diving. Ensure the crown is always pushed in to maintain water resistance. The water resistance may decrease over time due to gasket wear; professional checking is recommended periodically.
- PVD Coating: To preserve the PVD coating, avoid contact with abrasive surfaces, perfumes, and lotions, as these can degrade the finish over time.
- Storage: Store the watch in its original box or a soft pouch when not in use to prevent scratches.
