The Pipercross Air Filter (PP2021) is designed for automotive enthusiasts and daily drivers looking to optimize engine performance and fuel efficiency without frequent replacements. By providing up to a 40% increase in airflow compared to standard paper filters, this component allows the engine to breathe more freely, leading to improved combustion efficiency. However, users should note that as a performance filter, it requires a regular cleaning and re-oiling maintenance schedule to remain effective over the long term.

It is generally recommended to clean and re-oil the filter every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, depending on the dust levels in your driving environment.
No, you must use a dedicated foam air filter oil designed for high-performance filters to ensure proper airflow and filtration properties.
In most cases, a drop-in performance filter does not void a warranty, but you should consult your vehicle manufacturer's specific terms regarding aftermarket parts.
No, the PP2021 has a specific fitment profile. Always check the MPN compatibility for your specific year, make, and model.
By reducing the restriction of air intake, the engine does not have to work as hard to pull in air, allowing for a more efficient combustion cycle.
Check that the filter is properly seated in the airbox and that the airbox housing is tightly sealed with no air leaks.
Perform a full cleaning using a specialized foam filter cleaner and re-apply a thin layer of filter oil to ensure proper dust retention.
Installation follows the same procedure as a standard drop-in panel filter. Simply locate the airbox, release the clips, remove the old paper filter, and drop the PP2021 into place. Always ensure the rubber seal is seated correctly to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the filter. For care, do not dispose of the filter after extended use. Instead, use a dedicated Pipercross cleaning kit to wash the foam, allow it to dry completely, and apply a light coating of air filter oil. This maintenance should typically be performed every 5,000 to 10,000 miles depending on driving conditions. Before purchasing, verify your vehicle compatibility against the MPN PP2021 to ensure a perfect fit.
