The Edelrid Pinch is an innovative assisted braking belay device designed for enhanced safety and control during sport climbing, multi-pitch routes, and rope access techniques. It is the first belay device that attaches directly to the harness's central ring, allowing for a close-to-body belay position that improves brake rope control. The device features steel braking grooves to minimize rope twisting and a descent control lever for easy speed adjustment, especially with thinner ropes. An anti-panic function enhances safety and can be deactivated for advanced users. The Pinch offers versatility with a second braking tier for added control and can be attached to the belay station in four directions for optimal lever positioning. It is suitable for dynamic ropes between 8.5 and 10.5 mm in diameter and static ropes from 10.0 to 10.5 mm.
