ROC offers a comprehensive range of standard and heavy-duty leaf springs, including parabolic and multi-leaf designs, commonly used in the suspension systems of 4WD vehicles, light commercial vehicles, and some passenger cars. Leaf springs, one of the oldest suspension systems, have remained prevalent due to their ability to evenly distribute loads across the chassis. There are two primary types: multi-leaf springs with stacked, differently-sized leaves that create friction during deflection, and parabolic springs designed for low internal friction and minimum weight with fewer, parabolically shaped leaves. The strength and safety of the spring eyes are critical in both types. Manufacturing involves leaf preparation, bending, heat treatment, shot peening, assembling, presetting, and surface treatment for strength and corrosion protection, all produced in an ISO9001 environment. For safety and OE handling, it is recommended that leaf springs are always replaced in axle pairs. Always replace U-bolts (spring clamps) and ensure they are tightened to the correct torque as specified in a recognised repair manual.
