While comfortable and versatile, the SpeedArc Matis GORE-TEX® is primarily designed for fast hiking and shorter distances. For extensive backpacking with heavy loads, you might prefer a sturdier hiking boot with more ankle support.

GORE-TEX® itself is best cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. For the entire shoe, use mild soap and cool water, then air dry. Avoid machine washing or drying.

The GORE-TEX® provides waterproofing, which is beneficial in wet winter conditions. However, they are not insulated winter boots. For deep snow or extreme cold, consider adding thermal socks or opting for a winter-specific shoe.

Lifespan depends on usage intensity and terrain. With proper care and regular cleaning, they should provide reliable performance for a considerable period, typically indicated by the wear on the outsole and the integrity of the upper materials.

The propulsion technology is integrated into the midsole and outsole design to encourage a more efficient forward stride, helping to reduce the energy expenditure required for movement over varied terrain.
