Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Locate Wall Studs: Due to the shelf's length and weight, it is crucial to locate wall studs for secure mounting. Use a stud finder.
- Mark Mounting Points: Measure and mark the desired height, ensuring the marks align with the center of the studs.
- Install Brackets: Securely attach appropriate floating shelf brackets to the wall studs using heavy-duty screws suitable for your wall type (e.g., drywall, plaster).
- Attach Shelf: Slide the shelf onto the installed brackets. Ensure a snug fit. Some shelves may require additional screws from underneath into the bracket for extra security.
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for mounting on standard interior walls. Ensure you use mounting hardware and brackets that are rated for the shelf's weight capacity and the intended load. It is compatible with solid wood, plaster, and drywall construction when proper anchoring techniques are employed.
Care:
- Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- For cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Wipe up spills immediately to prevent moisture absorption.
- Avoid placing in areas of extreme humidity or direct, prolonged sunlight which can affect solid wood.
