Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure both the source device (e.g., gaming console, Blu-ray player, PC) and the display device (e.g., TV, monitor) are powered off.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the output port of the source device.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the input port of the display device.
- Power on the source device, followed by the display device.
- Access your display device's settings menu to ensure the correct HDMI input is selected and that any desired HDMI 2.1 features (like VRR, ALLM, or eARC) are enabled on both the source and display.
Compatibility:
This cable is designed to be backwardly compatible with older HDMI specifications (1.4, 2.0). However, to utilize HDMI 2.1 features such as 8K/60Hz, 4K/120Hz, VRR, ALLM, and eARC, both the connected source device and the display device must also support these HDMI 2.1 features. The cable itself is certified to meet all HDMI 2.1 requirements.
Care:
- Avoid excessive bending or kinking of the cable, as this can damage the internal conductors.
- Keep connectors clean. If dust accumulates, gently wipe them with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquids.
- Store the cable in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Ensure connections are secure but do not force the connectors into ports.
