The Iris Bulb Mix by Carbeth Plants is designed for gardeners looking to establish long-lasting, vibrant perennial displays in their beds, borders, or patio containers. This collection offers a robust selection of 75 hardy bulbs, including varieties like Symphony, Blue Magic, and White Excelsior, which attract essential pollinators such as bees and butterflies. While these irises are low-maintenance and return reliably each year, success depends heavily on ensuring the soil provides adequate drainage to prevent bulb rot during the winter months.

Yes, they grow very well in patio pots provided the pots have adequate drainage holes.
You should plant them at a depth three to four times the size of the bulb.
Yes, these varieties are specifically chosen to be pollinator-friendly, attracting bees and butterflies.
Absolutely; these irises make excellent cut flowers for indoor displays.
Check if the soil was too wet during winter, leading to bulb rot, or if the bulbs were planted too deeply.
Ensure the bulbs are in a location with enough sunlight; irises typically require full sun or very light partial shade to thrive.
This is often a sign of poor drainage or overwatering. Ensure the soil composition allows for quick water dissipation.
To ensure the best results, plant these bulbs in autumn or winter. The ideal planting depth is three to four times the height of the bulb, which helps protect them from frost while allowing the shoot to emerge in spring. Choose a site that receives full sun to partial shade with fertile, well-draining soil. Once planted, water the area thoroughly to settle the bulbs. During the growing season, keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. After the blooms fade, leave the foliage to die back naturally; this allows the bulb to store energy for the following year.
