The formula is self-priming, eliminating the need for a separate primer. It is suitable for ferrous metal surfaces and ideal for automotive applications, tools, machinery, garden furniture, fences, railings, and more. In addition to neutralizing and converting rust, Bartoline Rust Converter also offers fantastic long-term protection against the re-formation of rust.
Directions:
Remove loose surface contaminants and previous coatings, ensuring the surface to be treated is clean, dry, and free from dirt, oil, and grease deposits. Shake the aerosol well for approximately 2 minutes, and continue to shake regularly throughout the application process. Agitate the surface with a wire brush or sandpaper prior to application for optimal results. Spray onto the desired surface from a distance of 15-25cm. Apply 2-3 thin coats for even coverage, leaving 15–20 minute intervals between each coat. Allow a minimum of 3 hours before overpainting. After use, invert the can and spray for 2-5 seconds to prevent blockages forming in the nozzle.
Note: Only use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Store in a cool, dry place. Do not use in direct sunlight.
