Setup
- Connect: Plug the SSD into your computer using the included USB Type-C to USB Type-C or USB Type-C to USB Type-A cables.
- Format: The drive may need to be formatted before use. Follow your operating system's instructions for formatting (exFAT is recommended for cross-platform compatibility).
- Install Software (Optional): If you plan to use password protection, install the SanDisk SecureAccess software (available on the drive or from the SanDisk website) and set up your password.
Compatibility
The SanDisk Extreme PRO Portable SSD is compatible with:
- Operating Systems: Windows and macOS
- USB Ports: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (3.1 Gen 2) or better for optimal performance. It is also compatible with older USB versions, but speeds will be limited.
Care Instructions
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the drive to extreme heat or cold for extended periods.
- Protect from Physical Damage: While the drive is rugged, avoid dropping it from heights greater than the specified drop protection.
- Keep Clean: Wipe the drive with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
