Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the stairs are clean and dry before laying the runner. Position the runner to cover the desired area of each step. For optimal stability, especially on hard floors, ensure the latex/gel backing makes full contact with the surface. The runner can be cut to size if necessary; use a sharp utility knife and a straight edge for clean cuts.
Compatibility: The anti-slip latex/gel backing is designed to be non-slip on hard flooring such as wood, vinyl, or ceramic tiles. It also provides anti-slip properties on carpet, though its effectiveness may vary depending on the thickness and type of the underlying carpet.
Care: This runner is designed for low maintenance. For general cleaning, vacuum regularly. For spills and stains, immediate attention is recommended. Due to its 100% bleach-proof and stain-resistant nature, most common household stains can be treated with a mild bleach solution (diluted with water) or a gentle carpet cleaner. Test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh scrubbing, which can damage the fibers. Ensure the runner is completely dry after cleaning to prevent moisture-related issues, although the backing is waterproof.
