FAQs

How do I clean the adidas Predator Pro Goalkeeper Gloves?

Hand wash your gloves in cold water with mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and allow them to air dry completely away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

What does the 'Negative Cut' mean?

The negative cut means the seams are on the inside of the glove, creating a tighter, more snug fit that enhances ball feel and control, similar to a second skin.

How do I ensure the best grip from the URG 2.0+ latex?

Keep the latex clean by washing it after use. Avoid touching the palm with dirty hands or placing it on abrasive surfaces. Always ensure the gloves are properly dried.

Are these gloves suitable for all weather conditions?

The URG 2.0+ latex offers excellent grip in dry conditions. While designed for versatility, performance in very wet conditions can vary. Proper care will help maintain performance.

What is the benefit of the FusionMesh backhand?

FusionMesh provides excellent breathability to keep hands cool, combined with stretch and a soft feel for comfort and unrestricted finger movement.

Can I use these gloves for artificial turf?

While durable, extensive use on abrasive surfaces like artificial turf may lead to premature wear of the latex. They are primarily designed for natural grass pitches.

What does 'MPN' stand for and where can I find it?

MPN stands for Manufacturer Part Number. It's a unique identifier for the product and can usually be found on the product tag or packaging.

Troubleshooting

Gloves feel too tight or restrictive

Ensure the elasticated wrist strap is adjusted correctly. If the issue persists, the negative cut may not be suitable for your hand shape, or you may need to consider a different size.

Reduced grip after use

Clean the latex palm with water to remove dirt and debris that can affect grip. Ensure gloves are properly dried after washing. Avoid storing them in direct sunlight or extreme heat.

Seams coming undone

Inspect the gloves for any signs of damage. If a seam is minor, it might be repairable by a professional. Significant damage may require replacement.

Backhand feels stiff

The FusionMesh backhand is designed to be breathable and flexible. If it feels stiff, ensure the gloves are not over-dried. Gentle use and proper storage should restore flexibility.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup: The adidas Predator Pro Goalkeeper Gloves feature an engineered knit entry with a fully elasticated strap for a secure and adjustable fit. Simply slide your hand into the glove and secure the strap around your wrist. Ensure the fit is snug but not constrictive to allow for maximum comfort and mobility.

Compatibility: These gloves are designed for use on football pitches for goalkeeping purposes. They are compatible with standard goalkeeper training and match play.

Care: To maintain the performance and longevity of your gloves, hand wash them with cold water and mild soap after each use. Avoid using harsh detergents, bleach, or soaking them for extended periods. Gently squeeze out excess water and allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources or sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
