Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Cut a piece of repair tape slightly larger than the area needing repair.
- Place the tape on the *inside* of the fabric, ensuring the mending tape side faces the fabric.
- Cover the tape with a pressing cloth or a piece of baking parchment.
- Using a hot iron (set to the fabric's recommended heat setting, typically cotton), press firmly over the repair area for 10-15 seconds.
- Allow the mend to cool completely before handling.
Compatibility:
This tape is best suited for natural fibers like cotton, linen, and denim. It can also be used on some blends. Test on an inconspicuous area first if unsure, especially with synthetic fabrics or blends, to ensure compatibility and avoid damage.
Care:
Once applied, the mended area can be washed as usual according to the garment's care instructions. Machine washable and can be tumble dried on low heat. Avoid using bleach directly on the mended area.
