Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: Ensure your motherboard explicitly supports DDR3 Unbuffered DIMM memory with a 240-pin slot. Check your motherboard's manual or manufacturer's website for a Qualified Vendor List (QVL) to confirm compatibility. This kit is for PC/Server use and is not compatible with laptops or non-standard form factor computers.
Setup:
- Power off your computer and unplug the power cord.
- Open your computer case.
- Locate the RAM slots on your motherboard.
- Open the clips on the sides of the RAM slot.
- Align the notch on the memory module with the notch in the RAM slot.
- Press down firmly and evenly on both ends of the module until the clips snap into place.
