This Felo Automatic Wire Stripper (Series 583) is designed for electricians, DIY enthusiasts, and anyone working with electrical wiring. Its key benefit is the ability to quickly and precisely strip a wide range of wire gauges (24-10 AWG) for both solid and stranded conductors, while also offering an integrated cutter. A potential consideration is its specialized nature, meaning it may not be the best fit for users needing to strip extremely fine or unusually thick gauges outside its specified range.

This Felo wire stripper is made in Germany.
The stripping capacity ranges from 0.2mm² to 6.0mm².
Wipe the tool with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove debris. Ensure it is completely dry before storing.
It can handle down to 24 AWG, which is suitable for many electronic applications. However, extremely fine wires below 24 AWG may not be effectively stripped.
Ensure the wire is inserted straight and fully into the jaws. Verify the wire gauge is within the 24-10 AWG range. Check if the insulation type is compatible.
Ensure the wire is positioned correctly in the cutting area. Check for any debris obstructing the blades. If blades are dull, consider professional sharpening or replacement if possible.
Check for any dirt or debris within the mechanism. Lubricate pivot points sparingly with a light machine oil. Ensure no oversized wire has been forced through, potentially bending components.
Setup: This wire stripper requires no complex setup. Ensure the wire is inserted straight into the jaws. Adjust the stripping depth mechanism if applicable for your specific wire insulation type, though often the automatic nature requires minimal adjustment.
Compatibility: Compatible with solid and stranded copper conductors ranging from 24 AWG to 10 AWG (0.2mm² to 6.0mm²). It is designed for standard insulation types. It may not be effective on very thick, very thin, or unusually tough insulation materials.
Care: Keep the jaws clean and free of debris. Periodically check the cutting blades for sharpness. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion. Avoid forcing oversized wires into the jaws, as this can damage the tool.
