Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup Instructions
- Prepare the Ground: Ensure the area is cleared of debris, leveled, and that the soil is ready to receive the turf. Applying a pre-turfing fertiliser before laying is highly recommended to give the turf the best start.
- Schedule Delivery & Laying: To ensure the freshest and healthiest turf, schedule delivery for the same day you plan to lay it. Turf should not be stored for extended periods.
- Laying the Turf: Lay the turf rolls immediately after delivery, ensuring they are tightly butted together. Avoid walking on newly laid turf as much as possible.
- Watering: Water the newly laid turf thoroughly and immediately, and continue to water regularly, especially during the first few weeks, to encourage strong root establishment.
Compatibility
This premium turf is incredibly versatile and fits any garden style, whether you prefer a modern, minimalist look or a charming, traditional cottage vibe. Its lush, deep green appearance and robust nature make it suitable for various uses, from decorative lawns to high-traffic family areas.
Care & Maintenance
- Feeding: To maintain its vibrant green color and health, feed the turf regularly with a suitable lawn food. The frequency will depend on the product used and the time of year.
- Mowing: Avoid cutting the turf too short. Maintain an appropriate cutting height to support healthy growth and resilience. Regular mowing, typically once a week during growing seasons, is advised.
- Yearly Routines: Stick to a few simple yearly maintenance routines, such as aerating, scarifying (if needed), and top-dressing, to keep your turf strong and green all year round.
- Winter Care: The turf is hardy and reliable in cold winter months, but ensuring good drainage and avoiding heavy foot traffic on frozen grass will help it thrive.
