The insulated tube is designed to work with your existing Camelbak Crux bite valve system.
This tube requires the Quick Link system. If your reservoir is very old and lacks this, you may need to upgrade the reservoir or use an adapter.
We recommend hand washing with warm soapy water and a specialized tube brush to preserve the life of the insulation.
While it significantly delays freezing, in extremely long sub-zero exposures, it is still recommended to blow air back into the tube after each sip to clear the water out.
The tube is designed as a standard replacement length compatible with all standard Camelbak hydration packs.
Check that the tube is not kinked at the shoulder strap exit and ensure the bite valve is correctly aligned.
Disconnect the tube and inspect the O-ring for debris, then firmly re-attach it until a click is felt.
Remove the bite valve temporarily to reduce the diameter, thread the hose through the pack, then reattach the valve.
To install the tube, first disconnect your current hose from the reservoir using the Quick Link mechanism. Insert the new Crux Insulated Tube into the Quick Link port until you hear a secure click. If you find the tube diameter is too thick for your pack's shoulder strap port, ensure the hose is guided through carefully without kinking. For care, it is recommended to occasionally remove the insulation sleeve (if applicable) and wash the internal tube with warm, soapy water. Use a dedicated cleaning brush to clear the interior of the tube regularly to prevent mold or bacterial growth, and always allow the system to air dry completely before storing.
