Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup:
Upon receiving your watch, if it has stopped, gently shake it for about 30 seconds to start the automatic movement. For optimal performance, it's recommended to wind the crown manually by turning it clockwise about 30-40 times while it's in the standard position. This fully winds the mainspring. The watch will then continue to wind itself through the motion of your wrist.
Compatibility:
This is a standalone mechanical watch and does not require compatibility with other devices or software. It is designed to be worn on the wrist.
Care Instructions:
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For tougher smudges, use a slightly damp cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals or abrasives. Ensure the crown is pushed in or screwed down before cleaning to maintain water resistance.
- Water Resistance: While rated at 100M, it is advisable to avoid prolonged submersion in salt water and to rinse with fresh water afterward. Also, ensure the crown is always secured to maintain water resistance. Professional testing of water resistance is recommended periodically, especially after any potential impacts.
- Winding: To maintain accuracy, wear the watch daily for at least 8 hours. If you don't wear it for extended periods (more than 2 days), you may need to reset the time and date and wind it again.
- Avoid Magnetic Fields: Strong magnetic fields can affect the accuracy of automatic movements. Keep the watch away from speakers, refrigerators, and other strong magnetic sources.
