FAQs

How long does the fragrance typically last?

The Heart & Home Reed Diffuser is designed to provide fragrance for up to 12 weeks, depending on environmental factors like temperature and airflow.

How often should I flip the reeds?

For optimal fragrance diffusion, it is recommended to flip the reeds every few days or at least once a week.

Is this product safe to use around pets and children?

While flame-free, the fragrance oil should be kept out of reach of children and pets. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. Place the diffuser in a location where it cannot be easily knocked over.

Can I use different reeds with this diffuser?

It is best to use the black fiber reeds provided. Different types or sizes of reeds may affect the rate of oil absorption and scent diffusion.

What makes the fragrance 'romantic'?

The fragrance is described as romantic due to its blend of sparkling bergamot, elegant blush rose petals, and sweet vanilla, aiming to evoke feelings of warmth and affection.

How should I dispose of the diffuser when it's empty?

Dispose of the empty glass bottle and used reeds according to your local waste disposal regulations for household items.

What are the main scent notes in this diffuser?

The main scent notes are sparkling bergamot, blush rose petals, and sweet vanilla.

Troubleshooting

No scent or very weak scent.

Ensure the reeds are fully saturated. Flip the reeds more frequently. Check if the diffuser is placed in an area with good air circulation, but avoid strong drafts. The product may be nearing the end of its 12-week lifespan.

Oil is leaking from the bottle.

Ensure the lid is securely tightened. Check the bottle for any cracks. Place the diffuser on a protective surface like a coaster or tray to catch any potential drips.

Reeds are not absorbing oil.

Ensure the reeds are not blocked or clogged. Try flipping them. If they appear damaged, replace them with new reeds suitable for reed diffusers.

Fragrance seems to fade quickly.

This can occur if the diffuser is placed in a very warm or drafty area, which accelerates oil evaporation. Try moving it to a more stable environment.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Carefully remove the gold lid from the glass bottle.
  2. Insert the provided black fiber reeds into the fragrance oil.
  3. Allow the reeds to soak for a few hours, then flip them over to begin diffusing the scent.
  4. Place the diffuser on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and sensitive surfaces.

Compatibility:

  • This diffuser is designed for use with its own fragrance oil and reeds. Using other oils or reeds may affect performance and safety.
  • Suitable for most indoor home environments.

Care:

  • Regularly flip the reeds: Turn the reeds every few days or at least once a week to ensure consistent fragrance release. Use a paper towel to avoid oil transfer to your hands.
  • Keep away from heat and drafts: Avoid placing near open windows, radiators, or fans, as this can speed up evaporation.
  • Clean the bottle: Wipe the glass bottle with a dry or slightly damp cloth if dust accumulates. Do not use harsh cleaning chemicals.
  • Positioning: Ensure the diffuser is placed on a surface that can tolerate potential oil spills; consider using a coaster or mat underneath.
  • Disposal: Dispose of used reeds and empty bottles responsibly according to local guidelines.
